The current situation is clear: Domestic production capacity is oversaturated and urgently needs an outlet; meanwhile, the threshold for entering European and American markets is getting higher. Consequently, everyone’s gaze has turned to our "backyard"—Southeast Asia.


这其实是个必然。现在的东南亚,对于咱们来说,就像是你手机快没电时,兜里突然摸出来的那个“充电宝”。近7亿人口,没关税壁垒,距离又近,这就是咱们产能外溢的“救命稻草”。


This is actually inevitable. For us, Southeast Asia right now is like finding a "power bank" in your pocket just as your phone is about to die. With a population of nearly 700 million, no tariff barriers, and close proximity, it is the "lifeline" for our capacity overflow.


但问题来了:东南亚国家这么多,这泼天的富贵,到底该怎么接?是不是随便选个国家就能投?


But here is the question: With so many Southeast Asian countries, how do we handle this overwhelming opportunity? Can we just blindly pick a country to invest in?

很多人第一反应是越南。确实,这两年去越南考察的老板多如牛毛,哪怕是朋友圈里,定位在胡志明市的人都变多了。


Many people’s first reaction is Vietnam. Indeed, bosses scouting Vietnam in the past two years have been as numerous as carp in a river; even in WeChat Moments, more people are pinning their location to Ho Chi Minh City.


但大家冷静下来看看,越南其实有个致命的隐患——基建太脆。你可以贪图它的人工便宜,但你得忍受它的“不靠谱”。一到暑假,不是停水就是停电,工厂经常被迫拉闸。前两年,越南甚至还得专门跑到广西来买电。这就好比你开了家饭店,结果还得去隔壁借煤气,这生意怎么做得稳?


But if you calm down and look closely, Vietnam actually has a fatal flaw—its infrastructure is too fragile. You might covet its cheap labor, but you have to endure its "unreliability." Come summer, it’s either water cuts or power outages, forcing factories to shut down frequently. Two years ago, Vietnam even had to run to Guangxi to buy electricity. This is like opening a restaurant but having to borrow gas from your neighbor—how can this business be stable?



更别提越南那个“南北分治”的政治底色,北边亲中,南边亲美,夹在中间做生意,总有一种走钢丝的感觉。


Not to mention Vietnam’s political undertone of "North-South Division"—the North is pro-China, the South is pro-US. Doing business sandwiched in the middle always feels like walking a tightrope.


至于西边的缅甸,那就更不用说了。本来泛亚铁路有一条西线是走那边的,规划图画得挺好,但现实是那边内战就没消停过。今天这个军打那个军,大环境都不稳,谁敢把身家性命压在那儿?


As for Myanmar to the west, it goes without saying. Originally, the West Line of the Pan-Asian Railway was planned to go through there. The blueprints looked great, but the reality is that the civil war has never ceased. One army fights another today; the macro environment is unstable. Who dares to bet their life and assets there?


那么,排除掉这些“有硬伤”的选项,谁才是那个既能承载产能,又足够安全稳定的“天选之地”?答案其实已经呼之欲出了。
